IT’S MARVELLOUS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SET A GOAL

IT’S MARVELLOUS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SET A GOAL

As most of you know I have two daughters, Bella 18 and Mazana 21. Who have been hearing the goal setting message about writing down a 100 Lifetime Goals you want to achieve in your life, for all of their life. Both the girls have seen me present numerous times, attended multiple conferences and to their credit have completed writing out their list of 100 Goals. So for this week’s blog I wanted to share with you a personal milestone for my eldest daughter Mazana.

As a 10 year old she wrote down that she wanted to hold an Art Show of her own work. Always had it as a goal and as a high school student she loved to paint and creating art is her happy place. So about ten months ago Mazana was having a catch up with a friend in a café in the Valley in Brisbane. She commented to the lady behind the counter, who just happened to be the owner … “I love all the art on the walls.” The lady replied, “Yes, we showcase local artists. Do you paint?” Mazana said yes and the lady invited her to showcase her work!

Mazana set about creating 20 pieces for the Art Show and sold 13 on the night. Now this story is not about how proud I am of Mazana—of course I am very proud of her! It is not even about creating your list of 100 Lifetime Goals, but you should do that. It is all about putting your goals out there and when you do marvellous things happen. The universe assists you sometimes by bringing all the magic pieces together, but you have to tell it and yourself what you really want.

YOU HAVE TO TELL THE UNIVERSE AND YOURSELF WHAT YOU REALLY WANT.

What are you putting out there? What do you really want? How focused are you on it every day? How much energy do you put into it? How much attention are you paying to your desires, dreams and direction? Is what you want compelling? Are you committed to seeing come true?

All valid questions, which give you the difference between being interested in something and being committed to making it come true!

P.S. You can see Mazana’s art on her Facebook page.
